I am so amazed and THANKFUL that so many of you have responded with YOUR stories of how God comforted you in a time of great distress.
This story of God's comfort was submitted by a woman who is an ordained minister, and together with her husband, have been in ministry all their adult lives. Her name is Angela. She wrote:
But right then and there, I had the most beautiful
revelation from the heart of God; I sensed His tangible presence there with me.
I felt as if the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart, "Angela, no one really knows
your heart like I do. I know that you are brokenhearted. I know everything
about you.
Tears started to well up in my eyes. The preceding
weeks had been filled with pain; I could not understand why things were so
hard. There were times when I even wondered where God was in all that was going
on. And yes, I had gone to the medical offices that day with a broken heart.
You see, I was able to put a smile on my face and fool the doctor, for the doctor was concentrating on that vital organ in my chest—my heart. But I had the realization that God knew my real heart; He knew me intimately in a way that nobody else in the whole world did. And still, He cared for me. He was concerned about my brokenness. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” That moment was so special and sacred to me.

I want to encourage you today.
Please believe me when I say that He knows your heart.
He knows, He cares, He understands . . . and He has all the power to turn those difficult times into something beautiful.
The tests that day turned out fine and my problems seemed to be from being overly tired and stress related. But the lessons I learned from the creator of my heart were ones I won’t soon forget.
When we look back at some of the most challenging
times in our lives, we will say like the author of the poem, there was only one
set of footprints, for He was carrying us!
He knows us
intimately and He cares for us like no other can. Read Matthew 6:25-34 and let
His comfort ease your worry and anxiety. He is with you, no matter what you are
going through. You are not alone or forgotten. He even knows the very number of
hairs on your head."
Thank you for sharing this. I so relate when my heart was being questioned by doctors. God knew better and I believe His report. Love you! - Evie
