My mother hasn't spoken to me for most of my life. My only child and his family are far away. I used to go to church on Mother's Day but just sat and cried and cried as pictures of mothers and daughters were displayed on every screen every where as our pastor's wife talks about the wonderful bond between mother and daughter. It's just too painful for me. So, I stay home from church and then go to Sunday School afterwards. It still hurts when you have a mother who doesn't like you.....but it hurts less to not expose myself to a mushy Hallmark kind of church service. Mothers and fathers must have been forsaking their children from the beginning of time because God wrote about this to me in His word. "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me!" Psalm 27:10. "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." Deuteronomy 31:8 To those of you with wonderful mothers....have a blessed and wonderful day. Cherish it always!! Appreciate that special Mama in your life!!Hollishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07742410587188496903noreply@blogger.com
